Magnetic and dielectric properties of a double-percolating Ni0.3Zn0.7Fe1.95O4-Ni-polymer composite

Abstract: A novel three-phase, double-percolating composite with a ferromagnetic phase (NiZn ferrite) and metallic inclusion (nickel) embedded in the polyvinylidene fluoride matrix is prepared by a simple hot-molding method. The large ferrite particles in the composite not only act as magnetic phase, endowing the composite with high initial permeability, but also present as a high-volume fraction discrete (nonpercolating) phase, confining polymer and metallic particles into a continuous double-percolating structure of l… Show more

“…And the sintering temperature of hexagonal ilmenite-type (Zn 0.7 Mg 0.3 )TiO 3 (Abbreviated to ZMT3) dielectric ceramics were lowered from 1200°C to 875°C successfully by a semichemical rout and 1.0 wt% V 2 O 5 additions. Nickelzinc-copper ferrite (Abbreviated to NZC), which has excellent magnetic permeability and can be sintered at low temperature, is an important material using for producing low temperature sintered multilayer chip inductor (MLCI) [7][8][9]. They are promising materials for the multilayer chip LC filters.…”

“…Another combined property of magnetic PVDF composites is the absorption of electromagnetic wave in radio and microwave frequencies. As the absorption is related to polarization and magnetization processes of materials, the electrical permittivity and the magnetic permeability of PVDF/ Ba 3 Co 2 Fe 24 O 41 [8] and PVDF/Ni 0.3 Zn 0.7 Fe 1.95 O 4 -Ni [9] composites were measured at high frequencies.…”
