Lung Abscess and Its Relation to Surgery of the Upper Respiratory Tract

Abstract: THERE are two modes of approach to the statistical study of lung abscess. The internist sees enough of this disease in the course of years to be profoundly impressed, not only by its seriousness but also by the fact that in many instances it follows some surgical procedure in the region of the mouth, nose or throat, and particularly tonsillectomy.
