“…Within the neotropical realm, males often practice continuous sperm production, while females are seasonally reproductive (Van Sluys et al, 2002;Vitt & de Carvalho, 1995;Wiederhecker et al, 2002). Teixeira et al, 2005, in an ecological study on lizard Enyalius bilineatus suggest that this species may have extended or continuous reproductive activity and Migliore (2016) in Enyalius iheringii observed seminiferous tubules with sperm lineage in all seasons of the year.…”
