“…By employing a multiple screening phase including training and validation sets, we found that only PCAT1, MALAT1, and CPS1-IT1 were differentially expressed in HC (increased). Upregulated PCAT1 in HC tumor tissues acts as a competing endogenous for miR-122, increasing levels of glycogen synthase kinase 3β and decreasing β-catenin levels in whole cell lysates and nuclear fractions, indicating that PCAT1 silencing inhibited Wnt/β-catenin-signaling, promoting cell invasion [28,29]. LncRNA MALAT1 also promotes HC cell proliferation and invasion by activating the PI3K/Akt pathway [29].…”

“…A recent report revealed that PCAT1 silencing could inhibit Wnt/β-catenin signaling via miR-122 repression and WNT1 expression in extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. 46 The activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling can increase the proliferation activity of MM cells, thereby promoting the growth, survival, and migration of MM cells. 47 It is possible that there is a similar PCAT1/miR-122/WNT1/Wnt/β-catenin signaling axis in MM, which requires further studies.…”

“…LncRNA TLINC increases cancer cell migration [50]. In ECC, LncRNA PCAT1 is upregulated, promoting cancer cell proliferation, metastasis and inhibiting apoptosis [51]. The upregulated lncRNAs in CCA and their functions in cancer progression were also summarized in Table 1.…”

“…Inhibition of Wnt signaling in animal models can markedly reduce cancer cell proliferation and increase apoptosis, resulting in tumor regression [58]. LncRNA PCAT1 is reported to activate Wnt/β-catenin signaling and promote ECC progression [51]. Recent studies further demonstrate that lncRNA may participate in the pathogenesis of CCA in a Wnt pathway dependent manner [51,59].…”
