Long-length ceramic tubes for metallurgy

Abstract: Technologies for production of long-length protecting tubes, thermocouple sheaths, and chlorine ducts from high-alumina (97% Al 2 O 3 ), nitride, and unfired quartz ceramics for use in corrosive media and molten metals are described. Results of field tests are reported.
