“…Some early studies found that vitamin A has a signifcant antikeratosis efect, and it has been proven to have a good efect on vulvar leukoplakia and senile keratosis. Since oral leukoplakia is also a disorder of keratinization, in 1958, Mulay and Urbach [30] conducted a clinical trial in which they applied vitamin A tablets topically to 10 patients with typical OLK. Te results showed signifcant remission in 70% of patients, thus indicating the therapeutic potential of vitamin A in OLK patients.…”
