Abstract:Background. Lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)) is a genetic risk factor of atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases (ASCVDs). Proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) is related to vascular inflammation and detected in atherosclerotic plaques.
