“…The levels of UA in males are commonly higher than those of females. In recent works, the analyses of inorganic anions and/or UA in human saliva had been obtained by capillary ion electrophoresis (CIE) [5,7,8,15,16], microchip electrophoresis [17,18], ion chromatography (IC) [4,9,19,20], ion selective electrodes (ISE) [21], flow injection analysis (FIA) [22]. In particular, CIE has the advantages of rapid and simultaneous analyte detection as compared to ISE or FIA, and requires far smaller sample volumes as compared to IC.…”

“…Normal concentration of magnesium in the saliva is equal to 4.86-14.58 ppm, 13 whereas in this study, a decrease in magnesium concentration below the normal limit of the results obtained during fasting is 2.18 ppm and 2.35 ppm after fast break. Study by Skomro1 17 shows obtaining magnesium in healthy people is at 0.14 mmol/L or 3.40 ppm. Whereas, other researches on the composition of the saliva does not report the total of magnesium ions due to a low concentration.…”

“…It is also caused by factors of age and gender, which differs for each individu. 17 The concentration of magnesium in the body is mainly influenced by the concentration of magnesium in plasma. Magnesium excretion is influenced by the concentration of calcium and phosphate.…”

“…It is obvious that cells (leukocytes, platelets, keratinocytes, osteoblasts) and proteins (fibrin, collagen, elastin and growth factors) exhibit alterations when exposed to an Extremely Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Field [2,7,8]. However, no influence of low frequency magnetic fields on the content of salivary minerals has been found [9].…”
