“…By the use of a Pan-jet injector (Schuco Inc.) de livering 0.1 ml per injection better clinical results are obtainable when administering bleomycin in saline. Hudson [4] obtained clearing of warts in 84% of his cases. An aqueous solution of bleomycin injected in tradermally is thus satisfactory in the treat ment of warts.…”

“…When these types of studies were not available for this review, studies with adequate controls and/or repeatability stability data were selected. Despite these efforts, it was still difficult to directly compare each of the reports with one another, because of the diversity in reported stability data presented and absence of comprehensive information in the literature, such as: inconsistency or lack of reporting of controls, repeatable data, and/or validation methods; missing information; different assay techniques; lack of reporting of assay techniques; various times for study endpoint; diverse definition of stability; variation in storage times for the same drug; etc. Future studies that address these inconsistencies would be helpful.…”

“…A radioimmunoassay stability study showed that bleomycin (1 mg/mL) frozen at −20 °C in glass was stable (>97% bleomycin) for up to 27 months, and for up to 9.5 months when stored in plastic (because of adsorption to plastic) . Other studies report 6–8 weeks of stability of 1% bleomycin in 0.9% NaCl at 4 °C, and 4 weeks for bleomycin solution stored in glass vials at 5 °C . A cell survival biological assay reported 80–95% cell kill efficacy of bleomycin (0.03 mg/mL in 0.9% NaCl) after storage in glass containers for up to 3 weeks at 4, −20 and −70 °C .…”

“…The basis for wart therapy should not rely solely on collective efficacy data but also on patient satisfaction. 4 Many studies have shown bleomycin to be an effective modality for warts 5-36 ; however, documentation of patient satisfaction with bleomycin therapy is lacking. We evaluate the efficacy of intralesional bleomycin therapy for warts in conjunction with patient satisfaction.…”
