Lehmann‐Symanzik‐Zimmermann Formalism in the (n, 2) Sector of the Lee Model

Abstract

In this work the LE~NN-SYMANZIK-ZIMMERMANN treatment of the (n, 2) sector of the LEE model is given. All physical quantities are expressed by means of the ?-functions.It is found that the solutions of two singular integral equations solve the entire seotor. IntroductionModel field theories have been developed in order to get some insight into several problems which are also encountered in the relativistic quantum field theory. For example, the LEE model [l, 21 and its generalizations have proved to be useful in renormalization theory [3], the description of unstable particles in field theory [4-61, the effects of resonant final -state interactions on scattering and production amplitudes [ 71, the study of elementarity and compositiveness [8-lo], the meaning of the bootstrap mechanism [ll, 121, and others.In the last 15 years the LEE model has been investigated by various techniques: the dispersional approach [13,14], the LSZ formalism [15-201, the
