“…This is reported by Kachhawa, in which he uses epidermal scrapings (till the level of the papillary dermis) to apply directly onto the dermabraded recipient area. [12] However, questions regarding the homogeneity of the repigmentation, possible multiplication factor from donor skin to treatment area and treatment outcome on larger surface areas remain to be investigated.…”

“…Vitiligo can be cosmetically disfiguring and it is a stigmatizing condition leading to serious psychological problems in daily life. Stable vitiligo and lesions with depigmented hairs, indicating the depletion of the melanocyte reservoir in the hair follicle, mostly fail to repigment by conservative therapies [5,6]. In these cases, surgical techniques may be indicated but are often time-consuming and lead to undesired effects [7].…”

“…[15] Recently, Goh et al have simplified the extraction of epidermal cells from donor skin using a simple inexpensive six-well plate, a microfilter, and only three reagents: trypsin, trypsin inhibitor (soybean), and phosphate buffered saline (PBS). [16] DISCUSSION Non-cultured epidermal suspension is indicated mainly for segmental vitiligo and for stable nonsegmental vitiligo that does not respond to medical treatment.…”
