“…In aged women, granulomatous eruptions similar to, but distinctive from, granuloma gluteale infantum have been reported under the name of "diaper area granuloma of the aged" (2). Although the cause of granuloma gluteale infantum is totally unclear (3,4), diaper area granuloma of the aged is suspected to develop as a reaction to urine or feces (2). In the last ten years, we have seen three patients who developed diaper dermatitis with granuloma on the perianal area following surgery for Hirschsprung's disease.…”
