JSTOR E-Book EBA

Molly Strothmann

Abstract: JSTOR’s Evidence-Based Acquisition (EBA) model is a cost-effective means of providing access to a substantial backlist of academic e-books. Libraries pay a participation fee that gives their users unlimited access to a multidisciplinary collection of thousands of e-books for a 1-year term. Near the end of each subscription year, librarians select titles for perpetual access, with 75% of their participation fees available to fund the acquisition of those books.
