Joint power and bandwidth allocation for beam-hopping user downlinks in smart gateway multibeam satellite systems

Abstract: To improve the efficiency of on-board resources utilization, two joint power and bandwidth allocation schemes are proposed to optimize power and timeslot allocation for beam-hopping user downlinks of the smart gateway system. By decomposing the two-variable optimization problem into two single variable optimization problems, the joint optimization problem is solved effectively.
