“…Among them, C 17 fengycin A and C 17 fengycin B displayed antifungal activity at the microgram per milliliter level. This result is consistent with previous reports that longer fatty acid chains in lipopeptide lead to stronger antifungal activity, possibly because antifungal compounds with longer acyl chains can be fully integrated into fungal cell membranes, whereas shorter acyl chains cannot .
