Isolation and sequencing of cDNAs for the XL-I and XL-III forms of bovine liver xenobiotic-metabolizing medium-chain fatty acid:CoA ligase

Abstract: The XL‐I form of xenobiotic‐metabolizing medium‐chain fatty acid:CoA ligase was previously purified to apparent homogeneity from bovine liver mitochondria, and the amino acid sequence of a short segment of the enzyme was determined. This sequence was used to develop a probe for screening a bovine cDNA library from which a 1.6 kb cDNA was isolated. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD.
