Abstract:There's a bit of a buzz around the topic of geo‐engineering. The UK government's Innovation, Universities, Science and Skills Committee has asked for submissions to its case study on engineering on this theme, and the Royal Society has published a special journal issue, against a background of rising public concern about climate change. Sue Bowler considers how geophysics fits into geo‐engineering, now and in the future.
