“…We cannot affirm that the hemodynamic instability experienced by the patient since the first hemodialysis session was also caused by the exogenous intoxication. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that hemodynamic instability has also been described as a clinical complication of intoxication from star fruit ingestion [ 6 ]. The unfavorable course of this case is in agreement with previous reports in the literature, describing seizure as a bad prognostic factor.…”
