“…The data from this review agree with our 10-year results. 18 On the contrary, in a review by Esposito et al, 31 investigating implants placed in fresh extraction sockets with different timing of placement (immediate, immediate-delayed and delayed implants), the authors stated that, even if there is insufficient evidence to determine possible advantages or disadvantages between these techniques, there is a suggestion that immediate and immediate-delayed implants might be at higher risks of implant failures and complications compared to delayed implants. This is not in agreement with the results of the present article where, an overall 100% survival rate was obtained, indicating that immediate postextraction implants in very carefully selected patients could be safely immediately restored.…”
