“…There have been many studies conducted in the United States in which the reported incidence of CAUTI can be reduced by as much as 30% through the use of multidimensional approaches, including the use of CAUTI bundle interventions. [19,20] In one study, the introduction of a CAUTI prevention bundle was attributed with a 50% reduction in the mean monthly CAUTI rate in a hospital from 5.41 to 2.49 per 1000 catheterdays. [21] The inclusion of electronic checklists and reminders also helps in the reduction of infections as part of CAUTI bundles.…”
