“…RSD and MIA mimic some of the behavioral effects of bullying in humans and maternal infection, respectively ( Björkqvist, 2001 ; Brown and Meyer, 2018 ; Careaga et al, 2017 ). In accordance with other studies ( Calpe-López et al, 2022 ; Shimizu et al, 2020 ; Warren et al, 2014 ), we found that within a week after the adolescent RSD protocol, rats displayed a reduction in social behavior and increased anxiety as indicated by a reduced time spent playing with another rat and a reduced number of entries in the open arm of the EPM, respectively.
