Spirituality has been known to have a positive correlation to resilience during disasters. This study investigated the impact of spirituality on resilience during our current pandemic. A mixed-method approach was used to analyze correlations between spirituality and resilience of women. Correlations were noted to be statistically significant with Pearson's correlation of -.450 at 0.001, CD-RISC (M ¼ 77.94), and DSES (M ¼ 39.74). Thematic analysis of six open-ended questions provide depth to quantitative findings supporting the positive influence of spirituality on resilience, hope, optimism, peace, and comfort suggesting that spirituality may be an important dimension as this pandemic continues to unfold across the globe.

Background The concept of patient safety is an essential component of health care systems and is one of the key pillars of quality in health care organizations. One of the most important factors related to the safety of patients is the spiritual health of staff and patients. Accordingly, this study strived to explain the status of patient safety culture and its relationship with spiritual health from the perspective of health care providers in teaching hospitals of Hamadan.Methods This study was a qualitative content analysis study with a conventional approach using semi-structured open-ended interviews with samples selected by purposeful sampling technique to achieve data saturation. The proposed method of Granheim and Landman (2004) was also used for the qualitative content analysis of the data.Results In this study, 5 themes and 11 sub-themes were obtained from the participants' experiences. These included: continuous and dynamic training and upgrading of safety skills, attention to spirituality and conscientiousness and work commitment, effective communication and teamwork, equipping human and logistical resources based on the principle of care, accurate recognition of instructions, and error control.Conclusions The evaluation of safety culture clarifies the perceptions of safety participants in the organization and the attitude of managers and employees towards safety issue which can lead to the development of safety culture and quality improvement.

Background and Objectives: A developing body of evidence has demonstrated the detrimental effects of spirituality and religion on the well-being of patients with cancer. This necessitates the need to explore the content of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V (code 62.89). The present study aimed to identify the spiritual problems of Iranian patients with breast cancer concerning their religious beliefs and cultures. Methods: A qualitative content analysis with an abductive approach was used and data were gathered using individual semistructured interviews. The participants were selected by purposive sampling which continued until data saturation after 12 interviews. Data were analyzed using the Graneheim and Lundman thematic approach. Results: The themes extracted from the data were "Questioning spiritual values" and "loss or questioning of faith". The three categories in the first theme included "Find spiritual cause of illness", "Question God's justice", and "Deal with God". Moreover, "Lack of intimacy with God", "Giving up rituals" and "Losing religious faith" were the categories of the second theme. Conclusion: As evidenced by the obtained results, awareness of religious/spiritual problems of the patients with breast cancer may be of great help to healthcare professionals to manage the patients who need a referral, further assessment, and appropriate intervention. In addition, the assessment of spiritual/ religious problems is of paramount importance in designing cultural and spiritual care and interventions.
