PLCs, or programmable logic controllers, are essential parts of contemporary industrial automation systems and are responsible for managing and keeping an eye on a variety of operations. PLC reliability is critical to maintaining industrial systems' continuous and secure operation. A wide range of reliability strategies were used to improve the reliability of Programmable Logic Controllers, and this article methodically looks at them all. The evaluation classified PLC reliability techniques into Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Hazard analysis (HA), Reliability block diagram (RBD), Fault tree analysis (FTA), Physics of failure (PoF) and FMEA/FMECA, after thoroughly reviewing the body of literature. The proportion of reviewed papers using either RCA, RCM, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, RBD, RCM, PoF, or Hazard analysis to increase the reliability of PLCs showed that RCA, which makes up 20% of the publications reviewed, has been used the most to increase the reliability of the PLC, followed by HA, RCM, RBD, FTA, and PoF, which account for 17%, 16%, 16%,13%, 10%, and 8% of the articles reviewed, respectively. The paper discusses new developments and trends in PLC reliability, such as the application of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to fault detection and predictive maintenance.

This study analyzes the application of Safety Risk Management in the practice of aircraft maintenance at AMTO (Aircraft Maintenance Training Organization) Indonesia Aviation Polytechnic Curug. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Starting with hazard identification, risk assessment, and continuing with mitigation actions. Risk assessment uses the Risk Matrix. The results showed that 9 hazards were at tolerable levels, namely 4 hazards in the component release phase, 3 hazards in the inspection phase, and 2 hazards in the installation and adjustment phase. Recommended mitigation measures include additional training, safety briefing, safety promotion, supervision of important phases, and periodic checks on tools and equipment. This research is then used as a document for compliance with Safety Risk Management according to the SMS Implementation Plan at the AMTO (Aircraft Maintenance Training Organization) of the Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Curug.

The main attribute of a modern labour paradigm is a new type of man-machine interaction – the digital ecosystem. However, despite the improvement of man-machine interaction, the human factor remains the most difficult issue in ensuring the safety of such systems. Moreover, the digitalization process complicated the problem of the human factors because it led to a decline of the human’s subjective responsibility for the actions performed because of a significant increase in the share of artificial intelligence in decision-making. As a result, the number of accidents in recent years has decreased but insignificantly. In most cases, the research methods of the human factor are focused on environmental and technical problems of the system functioning, leaving a human unattended. In this regard, the research aims at the peculiarities of human activity in the digital ecosystem. The research was carried out in two directions. The first one is the study of human needs in the digital ecosystem, due to which it was established that a person needs digital safety. This need determined the emergence of a new phenomenon – the safety culture in the digital space. The second direction is the study of the person’s resources. The study of this issue showed that the “cycle” of resources and, in particular, its balanced affects the manifestation of the “human factors” phenomenon.
