Sports equipment is the key to the smooth development of ice and snow sports. With the rapid development of social economy and the improvement of people’s living standards, the demand for ice and snow sports equipment is increasing day by day. This article presents an improved method based on the chaos theory and the bee colony algorithm to quantify the application experience design of ice and snow sports equipment and reduce the influence of uncertain factors on the design results. First, the chaos theory can establish the dataset of application experience design and analyze the discreteness of the set. According to the bee colony algorithm, the dataset is divided into several groups, and each group obtains the best application experience design by using the design optimization strategy. Finally, the results are mixed to obtain the final experience design results. Through MATLAB simulation analysis and verification, the improved bee colony model can improve the accuracy of application experience design of ice and snow sports equipment in an uncertain environment, shorten the overall design time, and meet the requirements of application experience design of different ice and snow sports equipment. Therefore, the model proposed in this paper is suitable for the application experience design of ice and snow sports equipment.

Clinical features of winter sports injuries: A prospective single center study

Background: This study aimed to present the epidemiological and clinical effects of skiing training and use of protective equipment on skiing, sledding and snowboarding injuries. Methods: The patients were evaluated in two groups according to both their skiing experience and use of protective equipment. The characteristics of the patients, such as age, gender, injury area, and injury type were statistically evaluated according to the groups. Results: A total of 191 patients, 68 (35.6%) female and 123 (64.4%) male, were evaluated. There was a significant difference between the skiing type of the patients with and without skiing experience (p=0.001). When the patients were evaluated according to the presence of protective equipment, 25 (59.5%) patients who had no experience did not wear protective equipment, and this rate was statistically significant compared to the experienced group (p=0.001). Concerning the diagnoses of the patients according to injury areas, joint dislocation and soft tissue trauma were mostly detected in the upper extremities, bone fractures in the lower extremities, and organ injury in the thorax. Conclusion: Shoulder and wrist traumas were the most common injuries among the patients with skiing experience while tibial fractures were mostly seen in those without such experience. Tibia fractures were mostly observed in the patients using protective equipment, and skin incisions in those that did not use protective equipment. Therefore, in winter sports injuries, patients’ skiing experience and protective equipment use should be questioned and more attention should be paid to the above-mentioned injuries.

Objective: To explore relevant influencing factors of the prognosis of patients with winter sports-induced traumatic cervical spinal cord injury complicated with intramedullary hemorrhage and edema after emergency surgical treatment. Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 73 cases of traumatic cervical spinal cord injury complicated with intramedullary hemorrhage and edema in The First Hospital Affiliated to Hebei North University from January 2020 to October 2022. The enrolled patients were divided into the good prognosis (n=17) group and poor prognosis (n=56) group according to the recovery of neurological function after six months of follow-up. The risk factors affecting the prognosis of patients with traumatic cervical spinal cord injury complicated with intramedullary hemorrhage and edema after emergency surgery were analyzed by binary Logistic regression. Results: Among the enrolled 73 patients with traumatic cervical spinal cord injury complicated with intramedullary hemorrhage and edema, 56 cases showed significant improvement in ASIA Grade-6 months after operation, with an improvement rate of 76.71%. Further Logistic regression analysis revealed that concomitant diabetes, preoperative MSCC>40.83% and recovery rate of AMS <40.13% 3d after operation were independent risk factors affecting the poor prognosis of patients with traumatic cervical spinal cord injury complicated with intramedullary hemorrhage and edema. Conclusions: Emergency surgery can improve the neurological function of patients with cervical spinal cord injury complicated with intramedullary hemorrhage and edema caused by winter sports.
