Infrared absorption characteristics and electrical conduction of methyl methacrylate‐lithium acrylate copolymers

Abstract: Semiconducting copolymer samples were prepared by bulk copolymerization of methyl methacrylate with lithium acrylate using benzoyl peroxide as initiator. The pattern of the chemical reaction is discussed. The obtained samples wcre found to he random copolymers. Infrared absorption spectra were measured and analysed according to the copolymer structures. The data of electrical conductivity and the effect of gamma radiation on the electrical conductivity of the copolynier samples are discussed. Infrarotspeklren … Show more

“…Zinc acrylate 1131, and chromium acrylate [14] were synthesized by the reported method. Solvents (Qualigens) and divinyl benzene (Merck) were used without further purification.AIBN was recrystallized in methanol (m.p.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…Materials, preparation of the copolymer samples, and resistivity measurements are the same as previously mentioned by SAYYAH et al [4]. The nickel content was determined by atomic absorption tcchnique using spectrophotometer S P 191.…”

“…17,[19][20][21][22] The effects of g irradiation on the electrical properties of some ac-rylate polymers were studied and dosimetric investigations were performed by Sayyah and coworkers. [23][24][25][26] The amount of quantitative data available in this field is limited. Because of the very small amount of reliable quantitative data published to date on this subject, it is not usually possible to reach definite conclusions about the basic mechanisms of crosslinking and degradation.…”
