Objective This study aims to describe the factors related to the individual, the system and their interaction, which can affect eHealth literacy from the perspective of people living with one or multiple chronic diseases. As digital solutions are increasingly used in healthcare, perspectives of patients with chronic diseases must be considered. Methods The study design was a qualitative, descriptive interview study, gathering the insights of people living in Finland with chronic disease. The individual semi-structured interviews ( n = 17) were conducted via telephone. The eHealth Literacy Framework was used in the data analysis, with a deductive–inductive approach. Results The range of skills included in the eHealth Literacy Framework was widely applied by participants who described themselves as adept at using eHealth environments to manage health-related needs. The participants evaluated online information and took an active role in self-management of their chronic disease. Most importantly, even participants possessing many of the skills in the eHealth Literacy Framework experienced difficulties in using eHealth environments, and the accessibility of eHealth environments was highlighted. Conclusions eHealth environments could be useful for health promotion and self-management for people with chronic diseases, but only presuming the environments are adapted to their level of eHealth literacy skills.

Modern dental healthcare is unthinkable without the use of biocompatible materials. They must have the necessary mechanical properties to ensure the strength of dental structures, as well as be as acceptable as possible by the human body. In recent years, there has been an increase in the application of zirconium dioxide (ZrO2) material to metal ceramics in the manufacture of dental crowns, bridges and others. This has its natural continuation of the evolution of dental materials, which significantly improve human health not only in the oral area but also in complex, where the goal is to minimize the external contact of biological tissue with certain metal components. The present study shows the application of zirconium in the development of crowns on dental implants. Technological working hours are optimized. The process is followed in detail, highlighting important points that accompany the practical part of making the dental crown through the use of modern technologies in design. To objectively present the information in the study, a set of photographic material is presented, visualizing in detail important moments in the production of the zirconium crown.

Nurses' informatics competencies are nurses' professional requirements to guarantee the quality of patient care and affect nurses' use of health information systems. The purpose of this survey was to describe nurses' perceptions of their informatics competencies regarding health information system usage. A previously tested web-based questionnaire with multiple-choice questions was sent to nurses whose e-mail address was available through three Finnish Nursing Associations (N = 58 276). A total of 3610 nurses working in Finland responded. Both descriptive and explanatory statistics were used to analyze the data. The three dependent variables “nursing documentation,” “digital environment,” and “ethics and data protection” were formulated from the data. Nurses' overall informatics competency was good. The “ethics and data protection” competency score was higher than that of “nursing documentation” or “digital environment.” Recently graduated nurses and nurses working in outpatient care, virtual hospital, examination, or operation had highest “digital environment” competency score. Health information system experience was associated with “nursing documentation.” Nurses are highly qualified health information systems users. However, the competency requirements generated by rapidly expanding digitalization have challenged nurses. It is important to increase educational programs for nurses of how to use digital devices, and how to support patients to use digital services.
