He is a professor at the Technology Center of the Federal University of Alagoas, member of the Natural Lighting Group of the CIE-BR, coordinator of the Laboratory for Simulation inEnvironmental Comfort and Energy Efficiency (LabSica), and leader of the Lighting Research Group (GRILU). He has been developing the TropLux software since 1999.
