Influence of Nano-Methionine supplementation in drinking water on growth performance, lipid metabolism, and related gene expression in broiler chicken

Abstract: Objectives: The study aimed to determine how Nano-Methionine (Nano-Meth) affected growth, lipid metabolism, and relative gene expression for acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), fatty acid syn¬thase (FAS), growth hormone receptor (GHR), insulin-like growth factor receptor-1 (IGFR-1), myo¬statin (MSTN), and cholecystokinin (CCK) genes in broiler chickens. Materials and Methods: A total of 100 1-day-old broilers were randomly assigned into 2 groups: 1) the control group received drinking water without any supplements,… Show more

“…The level of VLDL concentration, T3 recorded a significant decrease under probability (P≤0.05) over T1, T2, T4, T5, and T6, the reason for the improvement of T3 may be attributed to very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) levels to the body's need for it in exporting triglycerides to the target sites, which are mainly adipose tissue or egg cells (W. H. Chang et al, 2019), which are required by the mature chicken to complete the process of producing eggs to form yolk fats،and VLDL is derived from the liver when the bird is exposed to stress, where stress works to break down the fat stores in the body to produce the energy that the bird needs to face the stress, and thus the level of triglycerides in the blood rises. Therefore, the need arises for VLDL, which represents the main vehicle for transporting triglycerides to the yolk because it is very important (El-Shobokshy et al, 2022).…”
