“…The tumors reeurred between 2 weeks and 6 years after surgery. Six tumors were reported to have regressed spontaneously (Bean 1969, McKenzie et al 1970, Jasehke & Wohlfarth 1973, Bloem et al 1974, Iwasaki et al 1974.…”

“…Reye( 1965) described six cases with similar features and elucidated the clinical picture and the peculiar histology of this entity. Since then, several reports have added more information under such names as: infantile digital fibroma (Bean 1969), infantile digital fibromatosis (Iwasaki et al 1974), digital neurofibrosarcoma in infancy (Jensen et al 1957), digital fibrous wellings in children (McKenzie et al 1970), and fibroma durum multiplex (Sakurane 1924). We have found 75 cases reported in the literature to date.…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…These benign tumors occur usually within the first year of life on the fingers and toes. Although there is a tendency for recurrence, spontaneous regression has been reported (2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7). A diagnostic morphologic feature is an eosinophilic inclusion body in the cytoplasm of the tumor cells.…”
