Abstract:In this work, an industrial gamma-ray-based computed
tomography system is constructed using a 50 cm rod plastic
scintillator coupled to PMTs at both ends. The ability of the system
is evaluated using two phantoms: one for contrast and one for
spatial resolution. Different cross-sectional images are
reconstructed for the phantoms using MLEM algorithm to extract
evaluation parameters. Such a system is suitable for scanning large
objects due to its spatial resolution limitation, which is about 1
