Abstract. Technoethics is an interdisciplinary research area that means ethics in technology.Technology is transformed into the products in our daily life by industrial design and the negative effects of technology abuse makes ethics issues cannot be ignored. But design ethics research rarely from the perspective of technoethics, which is worth reviewing and summarizing. This review focused on the influence of technoethics on industrial design in the context of technological development. Through studying technoethics and industrial design from the 19th century, we find they have similar developing processes and the early 20th century and 1970s are two key point in time. This article aims to present the development of technoethics and industrial design intuitively on a timeline to discuss the impact on industrial design from the perspective of technoethics.

The advances in 3D printing technology have an enormous potential to impact how designers learn and develop practical knowledge during the design process. The purpose of this research study was to investigate the potential of 3D printing as a tool for meaningful making. Through investigation of handmade objects and their qualities, this study set out to determine how designers can invent 3D printed objects that make sense to stand alongside handmade objects. Data for the study was obtained using both ethnographic and design research methods, including: an observation, experimental studies and a survey.Results showed that 3D printing has a potential not only to develop meaningful outcomes, but also to drive design processes that make sense to designers. Through engagement and understanding of 3D printing machine, designers can develop not only practical knowledge, but also an understanding of the meaning of their making.

The publication reveals the role of marketing research in the choice of style solutions for design concepts in educational institutions. The results of the analysis of styles used in the design concepts of educational institutions, conducted with the involvement of 159 analog objects, are presented. The problem of conflict between the creative and technological components in the design profession is discussed. The role of the digital component in the effectiveness of work on a design project is emphasized. The list of popular professional computer programs used in the course of design engineering. Based on these programs, the student project presented as an example was executed. Discussed issues of digitization of design in conjunction with the assessment of the author’s contribution and the impact of the creativity of a particular designer
