Indium Nitride Nanoparticles Prepared by Laser Ablation in Liquid

Abstract: Indium nitride InN nanoparticles NPs suspension prepared by Nd:YAG laser ablation of indium target submerged under ammonium hydroxide. The Scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, UV/VIS/NIR spectrophotometer and Conductivity meter were used to determine the properties of the nanoparticles prepared with different laser conditions. Fourier transform infrared spectra exhibit the presence of In[Formula: see text]N and In–N bonds, which indicates the formation of In… Show more

“…The h-BN NPs were synthesized in de-ionized distilled water (DDW) by exfoliation and fragmentation of BN particles; utilizing a pulsed laser. The nanoparticles were characterized within 2 h of production [32,33]; in addition, the hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) was synthesized in the route shown in figure 1. Two mg of h-BN powder was disseminated in 50 ml of DDW for 20 min using probe sonication.…”

“…There is a potential to prepare a new nanosystem, where the components are loaded on a carrier to convey ions, and CNPs are demonstrated to be a good carrier [11]. Different ways are used to produce nanostructured materials [12][13][14][15]; among them, pulsed laser ablation in liquid (PLAL) is the best method for synthesizing different types, sized, and shaped nanomaterials, in addition to other advantages like cost control and without the production for any by-product(s) and purification [16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24]. In addition, the NP morphology is prone to modification by using different liquids and laser parameters.…”

“…To date, several controlled synthesis methods for Ag NPs have been reported such as evaporation condensation, chemical reduction, sol-gel, laser ablation, electron irradiation, microwave processing, electro-chemical, photochemical, and biosynthesis [4,5]. Each method has advantages and disadvantages [6][7][8][9][10]. However, all techniques can be classified into one of two approaches: top-down or bottom-up.…”
