Abstract: If the sharp e +e -peaks seen in the Darmstadt experiments are due to the loop bremsstrahlung (LB) mechanism, the suggestion is made that it should be possible to reproduce those peaks in a relatively simple low-Z ion experiment. "Rutherford scattering," with e + e -detection added, could provide an independent test of LB.
