“…Modifications of the surface roughness of the materials surface may have several consequences, mainly bacterial adherence. Previous studies have shown that surface modifications of polymers and stainless steel induced by humid air GlidArc plasma treatment on the adherence of a model bacteria, S. epidermidis , enhanced bacterial fixation . This enhancement of adherence may be considered as positive or negative depending on the applications, but with the aim of disinfection, it is better for a treatment to reduce the further adherence.…”
