Abstract: Effects of paraquat were monitored by electron microscopic, cytochemical, and //; vivo spectrophotometric procedures. Electron microscopy of paraquat-treated pea leaf discs indicates that the chloroplasts are affected primarily with both thylakoid dilation and apparent lamellar fusions, resulting in a 'honeycomb" of lamellae.
