Background: Hospital-hotel services concepts rescue notions of hospitality in hospitalization environment, and include aspects of patient safety. The perspective is to facilitate the act of meeting the needs of both clients and employees of the institution in all dimensions.Objective: This article aimed to evaluate the perceptions of inpatients about hospital-hotel services in a university hospital with the perspective of quality of care in health assistance. Method:Descriptive study in a public university hospital conducted from December 2015 to January 2016. A total of 92 patients responded a questionnaire of items based on hospital accreditation parameters on four hospital-hotel services (domains). Results:It revealed positive parameters of evaluation with average of 91.8% (p <0.001) for all domains. There was a negative or neutral appreciation of 40.2% for comfort in bed, and 88.1% for information on emergency exits. The results suggest relevant data for quality analysis services offered by hospital-hotel services interfaced with the assistance. Conclusion:The smooth running of services is essential to comprehensive care in a hospital setting. Leaders and teams committed to the quality of the structure favor processes and results, ensuring quality and patient safety.

RESUMOObjetivo: analisar as implicações da acreditação hospitalar para a gestão do serviço. Métodos: estudo de caso com abordagem qualitativa, realizado com 12 gerentes de um hospital acreditado. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas, com roteiro semiestruturado, e analisados pela Análise de Conteúdo. Resultados: foram identificadas repercussões positivas: padronização, organização do serviço, melhoria contínua, trabalho sistêmico e intersetorial. E negativas: cobrança para cumprir meta e alcançar resultados, estresse e sobrecarga de trabalho. Conclusão: A acreditação traz mudanças para a gestão do serviço, para os profissionais e para a prática gerencial. Os profissionais precisaram adquirir uma habilidade para conciliar interesses da instituição e dos profissionais. Descritores: Acreditação; Gestão da qualidade; Administração de serviços de saúde. Resultados: efectos positivos se han identificado: la normalización, la organización de servicio, mejora continua, trabajo sistémico e intersectorial. Y negativo: la carga de cumplir el objetivo y lograr resultados, estrés, la sobrecarga. Conclusión: Acreditación trae cambios en la gestión del servicio , para la práctica profesional y de gestión. Los profesionales tuvieron que adquirir una capacidad de conciliar los intereses de la institución y profesionales. This study's aim was to understand the role of nurse managers in the process of hospital accreditation. This qualitative case study was conducted in a large private hospital in Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil. Five nurse managers were interviewed using a semi-structured script from April to May, 2011 and content analysis was used to interpret the data. Results show the strategic position of this professional, his/her managerial skills and participation in the implementation and maintenance of accreditation, and the importance of care management. Nurses have played managerial roles with greater autonomy, connecting inter-sector care, which contrasts with the curative model, and have established partnerships with diff erent social and institutional segments, adopting standards for teamwork. Managerial, healthcare, and educational work is performed from a procedural and indivisible perspective. Descriptors: Accreditation. Management. Nursing. RESUMOEste estudo objetivou compreender a atuação do enfermeiro gerente no processo de acreditação hospitalar (AH). Trata-se de um estudo de caso qualitativo realizado em um hospital privado de grande porte em Belo Horizonte. Foram entrevistados cinco enfermeiros em cargos de gerentes, utilizado roteiro semiestruturado, no período de abril a maio de 2011, e a análise de conteúdo, para análise dos dados. Foi possível identifi car a posição estratégica que o enfermeiro ocupa, a sua capacidade gerencial, a importância da gestão do cuidado e sua participação na implantação e manutenção da acreditação. O enfermeiro tem assumido funções gerenciais com mais autonomia, articulando uma assistência intersetorial, contrária ao modelo curativo, estabelecendo parcerias com diferentes segmentos sociais e institucionais e adotando padrões para o trabalho em equipe.
