Abstract: One of the main problems of lowland rice cultivation and production is the shortage of irrigation water, which effects the vegetative growth rate and the amount of yield and its component. In this study, afield experiment was conducted to find out the impact of some plant growth regulating substance on rice cultivars namely; Giza179 cultivar and Giza177 cultivar grown under different irrigation intervals in 2015 and 2016 growing season sat the farm of Agricultural Research Station, Sakha, Kafrelsheikh, Egypt. … Show more

“…This might be due to the highest number of tillers under irrigation every 4-days. These results are in confirmed by (Escasinas andZamora, 2011) and(El-Refaee et al, 2012) and were in good coincidence with that reported by (Kumari, 2017), (Abdel-Megeed et al, 2017)and (Bhattarai, 2017).…”

“…It could be due to the increase in photosynthesis under I1 than I2 because of the optimum light penetration through the rice canopy which produced more photosynthesis growth stages resulted in higher dry matter accumulation before flowering and high photosynthesis metabolites during filling period resulted in higher filling grains rice. These are the findings as reported by (Hashem et al, 2016) and (Abdel-Megeed et al, 2017). It means that the application of cycocel may aid in achieving optimum photosynthesis, increased number of filled grains, improved sink size and capacity during both growth stages.…”
