Background Although the COVID‐19 pandemic is affecting a relatively small proportion of the global population, its effects have already reached everyone. The pandemic has the potential to differentially disadvantage chronically ill patients, including those with Parkinson's disease (PD). The first health care reaction has been to limit access to clinics and neurology wards to preserve fragile patients with PD from being infected. In some regions, the shortage of medical staff has also forced movement disorders neurologists to provide care for patients with COVID‐19. Objective To share the experience of various movement disorder neurologists operating in different world regions and provide a common approach to patients with PD, with a focus on those already on advanced therapies, which may serve as guidance in the current pandemic and for emergency situations that we may face in the future. Conclusion Most of us were unprepared to deal with this condition given that in many health care systems, telemedicine has been only marginally available or only limited to email or telephone contacts. In addition, to ensure sufficient access to intensive care unit beds, most elective procedures (including deep brain stimulation or the initiation of infusion therapies) have been postponed. We all hope there will soon be a time when we will return to more regular hospital schedules. However, we should consider this crisis as an opportunity to change our approach and encourage our hospitals and health care systems to facilitate the remote management of chronic neurological patients, including those with advanced PD.

Depremler, dünyada yıkıcı etkisi oldukça yüksek olan doğal afetlerdir. Gelişen teknolojiye rağmen depremlerin ne zaman olacağı konusunda tespit yapılamamaktadır. Bu açıdan, afet sonrası karşılaşılabilecek durumlara karşı bilimsel olarak organize olunması depremin yıkıcı etkisini hafifletmede yarar sağlayabilir. Bu organizasyonun sağlanmasının gerekli olduğu alanlardan biri de rehabilitasyon alanıdır. Depremde sağ kalanların etkilenen vücut fonksiyonlarının tekrar elde edilebilmesi açısından rehabilitasyon oldukça büyük öneme sahiptir. Rehabilitasyon çalışanlarının Kahramanmaraş-Pazarcık depremzedelerinin sağlık durumlarının iyileştirilmesi ve geliştirilmesi adına erken rehabilitasyon çalışmalarına katılımı ve organize olması gereklidir. Deprem mağdurlarında oluşabilecek geçici ve kalıcı fiziksel engellerin önlenebilmesi için erken rehabilitasyon modeli oluşturularak bir an önce faaliyete geçilmesini öneriyoruz.

Natural disasters are still a matter of the world until today. The events pose not only physical impact but also psychological impacts that leave deep sorrow and fear. The survivors of the disaster felt they were at a very unsettled condition, felt very fearful, felt agitated for uncertain circumstances, and became very easily panicked until they could experience anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This systematic review aims to identify the impact–effects often posed by natural disasters on the soul health of survivors. Data searching is done on the Proquest, Pubmed, Science Direct, Sage, and Scopus databases that were converged in the 2013 to 2019 ranges. The psychological impact experienced by the victims after natural disaster events are depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), fear, suicide experiments, and other mental health disorders such as mood changes and a loss of interest in an activity. Natural disasters can hurt the mental health of the victims. If the psychological problems that occur to the victims are not immediately addressed, the victims will fall on more mental severe disorder conditions.
