Immunoglobulin A Nephropathy in a SARS-CoV-2-Positive Patient With Coexistent Metabolic Syndrome

Abstract: SARS-CoV-2 viral infection though primarily affects the respiratory system, but concurrent renal involvement is been reported in the medical literature. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common finding in SARS-CoV-2-positive patients. An isolated case of IgA nephropathy in a SARS-CoV-2 virus-infected patient has been already reported in the medical literature.
