Kriptografi Caesar Cipher merupakan salah satu teknik kriptografi sederhana yang digunakan untuk mengenkripsi dan mendekripsi teks. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan implementasi Caesar Cipher pada sebuah aplikasi enkripsi dan dekripsi sederhana menggunakan bahasa pemrograman HTML. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas dan efisiensi dari Caesar Cipher dalam menjaga kerahasiaan informasi. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahap utama, yaitu tahap perancangan, tahap implementasi, dan tahap pengujian. Pada tahap perancangan, dilakukan perencanaan dan perancangan aplikasi enkripsi dan dekripsi yang menggunakan Caesar Cipher. Kemudian pada tahap implementasi, dilakukan implementasi Caesar Cipher pada aplikasi yang telah dirancang. Pada tahap pengujian, dilakukan pengujian terhadap aplikasi yang telah diimplementasikan untuk menguji efektivitas dan efisiensi dari Caesar Cipher. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Caesar Cipher efektif dalam menjaga kerahasiaan informasi pada tingkat yang sederhana. Namun, Caesar Cipher kurang efektif jika digunakan pada tingkat keamanan yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, efisiensi Caesar Cipher juga tergantung pada panjang teks yang dienkripsi dan jenis karakter yang digunakan dalam teks tersebut. Dalam kesimpulannya, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Caesar Cipher pada aplikasi enkripsi dan dekripsi sederhana menggunakan bahasa pemrograman HTML dapat dilakukan dengan mudah. Namun, penggunaan Caesar Cipher dalam menjaga kerahasiaan informasi harus dipertimbangkan dengan baik, terutama jika digunakan pada tingkat keamanan yang lebih tinggi.

The involvement of the Internet in the production of daily life has increased the demand for the security of private data on the Internet. This paper briefly introduced the principles of advanced encryption standard (AES) and data encryption standard (DES) algorithms and then conducted simulation experiments on the two encryption algorithms in a laboratory server. The results showed that both algorithms had excellent sensitivity to plaintext keys, and the sensitivity of the AES algorithm was higher; the encryption and decryption time of both algorithms increased as the file got larger, and the encryption and decryption time of the same algorithm was not much different; the encryption and decryption time of the AES algorithm was less than that of the DES algorithm for the same file, and the time taken to crack the AES-encrypted data by brute force was also much longer; during the transmission of encrypted data, as the data increased, the integrity of the ciphertext decryption by the third-party decreased, and the integrity of the AES algorithm-encrypted file was significantly smaller than that of the DES algorithm-encrypted file when it was decrypted.

A message is a form of conveying information. Various ways are used to secure the information conveyed in the form of messages either in encrypted form or in the form of applying a password in the message. Messages can also be encrypted and embedded in other media such as images (steganography). This research aimed to insert a message into the form of an image by combining the Modified Least Significant Bit (MLSB) method in encrypting messages and reshape modification technique to determine at which position the message encryption will be embedded in the image. Tests were carried out to obtain the quality of the encryption process using the parameters of Fidelity, mean square error, peak signal to noise ratio, testing on file type, robustness, and comparison of message contents. The results of the tests showed that the files that can be used are files with the image file type in the lossless compression category, the rotation can be done at 90, 180, 270 without destroying the message in it, and changing the pixel in the image file will destroy the message inside
