Abstract: The glycolytic enzyme glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) is induced by hypoxia in endothelial cells (EC). Upregulation occurs primarily at the level of transcription and occurs to a much greater extent in EC than in other cell types.
