Iatrogenic Effects of Bonding in Orthodontics - A Narrative Review

Abstract: Various procedures performed from the start till the end of orthodontic treatment such as bonding and debonding involve profound care and caution by the clinician. This can prevent iatrogenic effects of bonding procedures such as occurrence of white spot lesions, enamel cracks, tearouts and irreversible damage to the pulp. This review focuses on the various iatrogenic effects encountered and the possible precautions to be taken to prevent these effects from occurring.
