Petrocosmea adenophora (Gesneriaceae), a new species from Yunnan, China

Abstract: A new species, Petrocosmea adenophora Z.J.Huang & Z.B.Xin, from SE Yunnan, China, is described here. It closely resembles P. iodioides Hemsl. in leaf blade shape and corolla type, but differs from the latter by some vegetative and generative characters, e.g. densely golden-brown glandular puberulent all over the plant. We found only one population with no more than 200 mature individuals at the type locality.
