Abstract: Geometric parameters of the title compound, C13H9ClN2O3, are in the usual ranges. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 65.53 (7)°. The nitro group is twisted by 6.6 (5)° from the plane of the benzene ring to which it is attached. The crystal packing is stabilized by an N—H...O hydrogen bond.
