Izumonauta(Argonautidae, Cephalopoda Coleoidea) from the Kapitean Stage (uppermost Miocene) of New Zealand

Abstract: The molluscan family Argonautidae is recorded for the first time from the Kapitean Stage of New Zealand. The single specimen is tentatively identified as a juvenile of Izumonauta lata Kobayashi, 1954, a name proposed for a unique shell from the Miocene of Japan.
