The correct management of organic fertilization has been shown as an extremely viable alternative in the production of vegetables, providing high yields concomitant to the reduction of synthetic fertilizers. The improvement of the production can be interpreted by the physiological behavior, favored by the organic fertilization with the supply of nutrients. Thus, an experiment was carried out to evaluate the gas exchange and Soil-Plant Analyses Development (SPAD) chlorophyll content in tomato plants according to types of organic fertilizers and biofertilizer doses. The experimental design was completely randomized with treatments distributed in factorial arrangement (3 x 5), referring to organic fertilizer types (T1: earthworm humus; T2: goat manure and T3: cattle manure) and biofertilizer concentrations (600, 800, 1000, 1200 and 1400 ml), with four replications. The gas exchange and the SPAD chlorophyll content in tomato plants depend on the type of organic fertilizer and the concentration of biofertilizer. It was possible to observe that increasing doses of biofertilizer in the substrate with low organic concentration increase the gas exchange in tomato plants, while high doses together with more concentrated organic fertilizers reduce these characteristics.

Considerado o método de reaproveitamento mais aplicável para a fração orgânica de Resíduos Sólidos Urbanos (RSU), a compostagem – conversão biológica – atrai principalmente pelo baixo custo, portanto, o presente artigo discorre sobre a legislação referente aos resíduos sólidos no Brasil e os diferentes métodos de compostagem. O objetivo foi analisar os métodos de compostagem orgânica de baixo custo em zonas rurais como ferramenta de gestão de resíduos orgânicos para a geração de um composto orgânico estável e de qualidade para ser utilizado na agricultura. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão sistemática da literatura utilizando-se de estratégia bibliométrica no portal de Periódicos Capes, por meio de palavras-chave relacionadas ao tema. Constatou-se que, de fato, o método denominado aeração forçada se adapta melhor às possibilidades, tendo uma melhor decomposição de resíduos orgânico por meio da potencialização da ação de microorganismos ao longo do processo e recomenda-se que a propriedade rural identifique o melhor meio de utilizar e preservar, potencializando não só o desenvolvimento sustentável, como também o aumento da produtividade na propriedade.

Tomato is one of the most produced vegetables in the whole Brazilian territory, also presenting great income to the family producer. The use of organic or alternative substrates has grown, since its acquisition by the producer is easy. Aiming at these factors, the objective of this work was to evaluate the production of three cultivars, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz Kada Gigante and Santa Adélia tomatoes in seven types of substrates formulated with humus and added bovine manure, chicken manure and carbonized rice husk, thus forming a randomized block design in factorial scheme 7×3. The seeds were sown in styrofoam trays and placed in a greenhouse at Emater-GO experimental station, in the city of Anápolis. Some analyses were carried out to verify the quality of seedlings. The analysis of variance was not significant for the cultivar × substrate interaction, so the analyses proceeded in isolation. The cultivars Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Kada Gigante were superior to cultivating Santa Adélia in all tests. The substrates that contained chicken manure composition were the ones that presented the best results in all analyses.
