Internet became a vital part of our life so from a small to big company has set up their own network. Thus, to prevent the company's network security breached and private information might leak out it is important to implement good network security. The current limitation of IPS only relies on the global signature to determine packet. A mix mode method will be used to collect primary data via survey and interview. The sample size selection criteria for the questionnaire is Private University Students, lecture and industry experts who have networking knowledge. Furthermore, the simulation test will be done using virtualization to simulate the network environment to implement the self-updated IPS to protect the server. This helps to validate the workability of the proposed. Last with the implementation of the security measure of a network that able to help the user to gain the trust towards the digital society.

Vocational High Schools as educational institution that adopt vocation based curriculum get the advantages and benefits of the development of the teaching factory. Teaching factory is a product and business oriented concept of learning in response to the challenges and development of the industry. However, during the pandemic period, teaching factory management faces many obstacles, one of which is in the performance of the network. The current network uses static routing network protocol which has no backup line or track. It is, therefore, suggested to apply dynamic routing OSPF and BGP with the VRRP, HSRP, and the GLBP workload method as the backup line which is measured through the throughput, delay, and packet loss parameter, for its Quality of Service (QoS). The research scenario stage applies each routing protocol to each performance method, so that it can be measured to obtain the expected QoS results at end users. The best result that will be recommended is routing OSPF by VRRP method because it has less than 1 second time comparison when there is a network failure. It is shown in the QoS result of 3.96, which shows that it is very satisfactory compared to others.Intisari-Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan sebagai sekolah menengah berbasis vokasi mendapatkan manfaat sebagai pengembangan teaching factory. Teaching factory adalah konsep pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada produksi dan bisnis untuk menjawab tantangan perkembangan industri. Namun, di tengah pandemi, pengelolaan teaching factory mendapatkan hambatan dari sisi kinerja jaringan yang tidak andal. Kondisi yang sudah ada menggunakan protokol jaringan static routing dan tidak memiliki jalur cadangan pada jaringan. Oleh karena itu, diusulkan penggunaan dynamic routing OSPF dan BGP dengan metode pembebanan kinerja VRRP, HSRP, dan GLBP sebagai jalur cadangan, yang diukur melalui parameter throughput, delay, dan packet loss untuk Quality of Service. Tahapan skenario penelitian menerapkan masing-masing dynamic routing protocol pada ketiga metode pembebanan kinerja agar mampu diukur dan memperoleh hasil QoS yang diharapkan di end user. Hasil terbaik yang direkomendasikan yaitu dynamic routing OSPF dengan metode pembebanan kinerja VRRP karena memberikan perbandingan waktu kurang dari 1 detik saat terjadi kegagalan jalur pada jaringan internet. Hal ini terbukti dari QoS sebesar 3,96 dengan kategori sangat memuaskan, lebih baik dibandingkan lainnya.

With the increase of internet user today, if it only has one router, when the router experiencing a network failure, then the internet cannot be used. To overcome this problem, the HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) method by creating one active link and one backup link has been applied in the previous research. In this research will be applying the HSRP, VTP (Vlan Trunking Protocol), InterVLAN, and VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) as a comparison. The testing parameter in this research will be using packet loss and throughput. From the result of testing that has been done, it shows that by applying the HSRP method, it gives a network availability with the packet loss of only 0,32%, and throughput of 1,159Mb/s (95,58%) from using 100 PC.
