Histoplasma capsulatum and Pneumocystis jirovecii coinfection in hospitalized HIV and non-HIV patients from a tertiary care hospital in Mexico

Abstract: Background: Histoplasma capsulatum and Pneumocystis jirovecii are respiratory fungal pathogens that principally cause pulmonary disease. Coinfection with both pathogens is scarcely reported.
