“…Frequent jumping, landing and changes in direction make up much of physical load of competitive games, which therefore expose players to high level of eccentric muscle contractions and joints solicitations [45,46]. Again, the intermittent aspect of basket-ball, football and tennis implies postural deviations and sudden changes in speed which are common to these three sports; and well considered as an important key factor on the occurrence of pains and injuries on observed body regions in the present study [47][48][49]. Additional reasons of more pain in basketball could be speci c anthropometric demands such as height, weight which impact positively performances and increase the risk of pain and injuries [50,51].…”

“…In addition, it is well known that MSPs incidence, prevalence, causes and risks leading most of time to injuries varies according to sport modality [31,47,[57][58][59]. The most biomechanical and physiological requirements of the musculoskeletal system following the increase in training loads, techniques and athletic status in certain sports before following chronic adaptations would be the cause of transient pain reported in a week or a year.…”

“…In these cases, besides the supraphysiological mechanical stress typical of certain sports, muscle imbalances are also observed between the abdominal segment and the proximal region of the lower limbs, with emphasis on a greater relative strength in favor of the adductor muscles [1]. The most commonly observed association is that of inguinomalacia with osteitis púbis [3,11,12].…”

“…Around the world, one million total hip arthroplasty (THA) surgeries are thought to be performed annually [ 1 , 2 ]. Between 2014 and 2017, there were 370.000 THAs carried out in the United States, while Italy conducted 91.428 THAs in 2014, representing a 44.0% increase from 2001 to 2014.…”
