“…Although TG analysis provides only an approximate guide to the real TOS of a cured resin, the fairly high 5 and 10 % weight loss temperatures of BPP are an apparent indication of the good TOS of the polymer. These values are at worst comparable with, and in some cases better than, the TOS of competitive systems such as biphenylene end‐capped imide oligomers with internal acetylene groups (5 % weight loss at ca 548 °C),14 phenylethynylphthalic anhydride‐terminated polyimides (5 % weight loss at ca 517–577 °C)2, 32 and Cycap PMR systems (5 % weight loss at ca 560 °C) 33…”

Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC). Method Participants (SAD n = 58; HC n = 16) underwent functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) during which they completed a 90s control anticipation task and 90s speech anticipation task.

“…There has been some research into thermal degradation of liquid crystalline materials using TGA [17,22,23]. It is known that generally LCs containing large aromatic repeating units have high thermal stability.…”

“…It is known that generally LCTs containing rigid‐rod repeating units have high thermal stability. There have been some reports about thermal degradation of LCT, which confirmed that the most important factor influencing the thermal stability is the molecular structure rather than phase differences 24–27…”
